Position Details:
● The DBA will be responsible for design, development, and support of production and non-production databases, As a part of database services group.
● Support and manage SQL Servers and Oracle databases in a high volume, 24x7 environments.
● Design and implement disaster recovery solutions and perform failovers as necessary.
● Install, configure, and support high availability cluster configuration.
● Troubleshoot performance issues and work with developers to identify top offending stored procedures and SQL statements.
● Perform routine database maintenance tasks.
● Coordinates and/or participates in database stress tests, analyzes results, and makes recommendations for design or coding changes based upon those results.
● Establish Backup and Recovery Strategy for all databases.
● Develop and maintains Database related standards and procedures.
● Ensure the security of company information by monitoring database environments for improper access.
Required Qualifications:
● 5 or more years of database administration/design experience with RDBMS.
● 3-5 years experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle Database.
● Experience with Database backup and recovery techniques in a enterprise level environment.
● Prefer experience designing and implementing data warehouses, including experience with MS SQL OLAP services.
● Familiarity with Oracle replication services and SQL Server clustered environment
● Developing and implementing system monitoring and alerting Writing and tuning of database resident code such as: procedures, functions, triggers and views Performance analysis of SQL Server and its dependent and related resources.
● Installing, configuring and supporting experience on SAN Storage.
● Proven ability to work with in a team environment.
● Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
