REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree holder or equivalent in purchasing; sourcing management or business discipline
• Familiar with import/export and purchasing in Mainland China
• Competency in SAP an added advantage
• Min 5 years experience in purchasing in a sizable organization
• Proven ability to deliver results according to ambitious, specific requirement
• Independent, good communication, negotiation and presentation skill
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Base in SZH and is responsible for the Purchasing function for both Container Services and Marine Services Operations Departments mainly for HKG and South of China locations. Act as supervisor of local Purchasing team
• Assist with other sections of Procurement Department in other locations when required
• Execute the purchasing plans and operation direction according to business strategies
• Perform staff decision, training and coaching, and ensure all members within the team are well trained in procedures and/or instructions, especially of those related to Intergrated Management System of Brigantine
• Regularly meet and co-operate with key internal stake holders and lead buyers of goods and services to source around the region, and develop new and existing suppliers, at an aim to reduce purchasing costs, minimise interruption to operations, and maintain optimal stock level
• Assist to formulate, monitor and evaluate operation KPI’s for purchasing team
• Optimise commercial relations/procedures, develop efficient network with vendors and customers, including purchasers of Maersk Procurement and 3rd parties clients
• Monitor work performance of purchasing support at various remote workshops and terminal locations.
