Ability to write T-SQL: SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE queries, stored procedures, cursors, temporary tables, WHILE loops, transactions, error handling.
3+ years experience of using SQL Server 2005 System Management Studio (SMS): Query Editor, SSIS, etc.
Familiarity with Source Code Management and Version Control concepts (experience with Perforce is a plus).
Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail, ability to detect and correct problems within SQL scripts.
Ability to take directions and follow established work processes.
English (written) communication skills.
Ability to read schema/data models and utilize related tools (Power Designer is a plus).
Experience with performance tuning and analyzing Query Execution Plans is preferred.
Experience with SQL Server 2000 tools – Query Analyzer, Enterprise Manager, DTS is preferred.
Other application development skills and experience is considered a plus, e.g. Visual Basic, BizTalk, Java, PERL.
