Main purpose of the role
Management on Product Creation Projects and Project Managers by the use of the appropriate project and people management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques in the context of the company’s goals and objectives, so that the project deliverables will contribute to the company values in quality, time and costs, and in a way that can be measured.
Key areas of accountability
1.Managment of project office resources with R&D dept. and map out capacity
for existing and new projects. Find ways to manage the resources and also
proactive approach to new ways to manage project resources.
2.Map out the competencies of all project managers and officers and improve
the competencies via training ,coaching and exposure.
3.Make sure that all KPIs of project office is met and if there are
deviations ,identify weakness and ways to improve it.
4.Guide and coach project teams and how to improve the efficiencies and
effectiveness of the project teams. Act as mentor to all project teams.
5.Laise with DDE project office and align WoW and follow up closely with
transfer project from DDE.
6.Set clear targets to the teams and ensure that it is closely follow up and
realized.
7.Capture learning points and make sure it is closely capture in the system
so that there will be no repetition of mistakes.
8.Work closely with other department to ensure that the other dept. are
supporting the project teams actively.
9.Put forward all new requirements and skills of the new projects to other
department proactive and have them ready for new technology products
and/or process.
