POSITION SUMMARY:
Source, maintain, and develop supply chain for a specific product commodity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze and execute purchase requisitions.
Negotiate pricing and cost reductions for commodities.
Place purchase orders with various vendors to obtain the best quality material, at best possible cost per our required delivery schedule.
Implement Letters of Intent and Supply Agreements
Assist in pricing and locating material for engineering.
Develop strong vendor relationships with key suppliers.
Interface with all other internal departments to resolve any materials related issues.
Search for alternate parts , qualify new and alternate sources to achieve cost reductions, and/or maintain supply chain.
Resolve accounts payable supplier issues where applicable.
Expedite deliveries of critical components required to meet production demands when necessary to support the planning groups.
SKILLS:
Working knowledge of automated scheduling, MRP and procurement systems.
Working knowledge of Letters of Intent, NDA and Supply Agreements.
PC based operating software experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
Proven knowledge of the electronics/telecommunications vendor base.
Excellent verbal and written communications.
Experience in contracts and supply agreements.
Oracle experience

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
BE, BA or BS Business / related field
5-8 years equivalent experience in the telecommunications or electronics industry.
